You're not putting this much work into your business to not make some great money. The truth is, there are plenty of BNB Managers and Co-Hosts out there who could easily be making 30-50% more income without bringing on a single new property. Before your grow your money machine, make sure it's working properly. Take the time to dive into the numbers and look for ways to ramp up your returns.
How are your nightly rates?
How's occupancy?
The trick here is to not answer those questions based on emotion. Data is the only way to accurately measure how you're doing. As a professional, you should be outperforming everyday hosts by at least 20-30%.
#2: AUTOMATE
Now that the machine is running smoothly, it's time to get it running without your inputs. A well oiled machine that's properly automated requires no more than a few hours per week to maintain. This means more time for you to be working on the business instead of in the business. Or heck, maybe you can even have yourself some of that freedom that you signed up for when you first decided to run your own business?
#3: SCALE
Now that the foundation has been laid, it's time to build your skyscraper. You see, most business owners think that they can just skip to #3 and everything will work itself out. More money solves all problems, right?
Wrong.
In fact, more often than not, when you scale your business before taking the time to properly optimize and automate, you'll actually end up making less money.
More properties without proper systems = more problems, more headaches, and more opportunities to lose money.
Once your foundation is laid however, you'll want to have a rock solid system for acquiring new clients at will. This is when things really start to get fun. Once you've got things all set up and you've got a system that works for growing the business, you're ready to take things to the next level. This is when your business and your income are truly within your control.
